It's not a Shower, it's a Thunderstorm
Had my very first bridal shower today.
Tea at The Peninsula!! That Mighty Leaf Tea is might delicious!! Love it!!
Even though I've been to probably a hundred wedding showers for other people, attending one in my honor was a whole different experience. It's like, all these people (all 5 of them) are there for ME, and they all bought me gifts that I wanted. It's better than Christmas!
Almost too much attention, if that's even possible. Heehee.
With one shower down, and one more to go, the wedding day is becoming more and more of a reality. I'm feeling a mixture of anxiousness and excitement. Part of me just want to get the day over with so I don't have to stress anymore, but part of me also want to revel in this "process" for a long as possible. After all, I had pre-planned my wedding in my head millions of times, since probably high school; what am I going to do after it's all said and done?? What will I do with all that free time?
I still think I enjoy coordinating/planning other people's weddings much more than my own...less pressure...no risk of disappointing myself. So, my engaged friends and to-be-engaged friends, after October 15th, I'm open for business again!
Anyway, thank you Amy for hosting and coordinating everything today. Everything was perfect! Kat, Mel, Mai, thank you so much for coming and sharing your afternoon with me and for all the fabulous presents. I wish I had a kitchen so that I can use them now!! Carina, Becky & Alice, thank you for your thoughts and being there in spirit. We'll do high tea again soon!
Pictures to come...
