Winter Wonderland
Today, November 24th, 2004, I had my very first Chicago snow. I was SO exited!!! Ok, so it was more like rain/snow/slush during the day, and my pant cuffs got really wet and dirty, but by midnight, there's about 2.5 inches of snow on the ground. We're not talking cheesy sleet/icy rain like we get in Dallas, it was massive amounts of white flakes, FLAKES, pouring down to earth. I was running around like a child outside church after the smallgroup Thanksgiving potluck. Few people shared my excitement. I guess if you're born and raised in Chicago, snow is more of a hassle than a weather phenomenon.
Perhaps I'll be jaded and tired of it after a month of so of this just like everyone else, but right now, I'm really enjoying the sights. There's just something really really romantic about snow fall.
