Quote of the Day--One of My Faves

"Guys, you don't go kissin' on some woman before you're willing to be responsible for holding her heart."

So true. *sigh*

Marriage is...

  • To never have to be lonely again
  • To give 100% and receive 100%
  • Blissful and fulfilling
  • To have to live with a boy
  • A picture of the relationship between Christ and His church
  • Dirty laundry and dishes
  • Having someone to kill the spiders for you
  • Playing house, but way more expensive
  • Glorifying
  • Leaving and cleaving
  • Grace in action
  • Till death do part
  • A very "grown-up" thing
  • Living with your best friend
An unconditional commitment to an imperfect person.

I Love My Friends

Lately, I have been reminded of the blessings of friendships - friends who will call me and tell me when something I want is on sale, friends who send me notes of encouragement when I feel desolate, friends who will put up with my irrational hate for driving and give me rides, friends who will be the voices of reason in my overly dramatic emotional states, friends who I can count on to pray for me in good times, in bad times...

Certain friends, you just know you'll remain close for a long, long time, no matter where life may take you, or the physical distance between you.

Rock Your Prom

Just came back from the JCPenney/Seventeen Rock-Your-Prom model call at Woodfield. I got to meet Alex M. from Laguna Beach!!! She was the mean one on the show who stole Jason from Jessica for the Winter Formal and causes them to break up and the goes out with Jason but just to have Jason cheat on her with Jessica. Haha. Anyway, Seventeen got her to be the talent there at the event. She's not a bad singer, I must admit.

It was fun to have my teenage giddy moment when I met her. Although I did feel kinda bad when I walked to the front of the line
(I'm the client after all), cutting in front of all those 15-year-olds trying to get autographs from her. Oh well. What's fun about life if you can't have people pull strings for you?

Maybe I should have worn a little more make up and fixed my hair.
